Very sorry about not being here for the past week or so. I haven’t given up on the journey but I just have not felt like using Tumblr or anything lately. Sorry, guys.

Pilates and Yoga are so underrated.

Yoga and pilates won’t get you shredded, sorry. Not really interested in being flexible. :P

you’ve obviously never had a pilates workout… It’s all strength training. Educate yourself. That shit can hurttttt.

^ thank you

Not to mention that mobility and activation is important for strength. A lot of lifters, athletes blah etc do both yoga and pilates to ensure proper range of movement and correct activation to prevent injuries. FLEXIBILITY & ACTIVATION IS IMPORTANT TO EVERY KIND OF FITNESS.

Also can I just point out being able to do the splits is a great feeling

Everyone stop for a second and be proud of yourself, because whether you’ve seen results, hit a plateau, reached your goal, or even just started today, you are trying. And you are that much closer to the happy, strong, healthy person you dream of being.

Sorry for being absentee lately. I’ve been doing well with my eating but I’ve been slacking a bit with the yoga. I don’t know why I can’t be good with both at the same time.

Today hasn’t been a good day. It might take me a few more days to get back to normal… as soon as I figure out how to balance weight loss with personal issues. You know, the kind that make you want to eat several chocolate cakes in a row and watch stupid chick flicks all night? haha

Regardless I will try my best to stay focused. So here’s hoping!

I wish I would’ve taken pictures of my first time trying to do these poses but it probably would’ve just been me looking confused or falling over because I couldn’t do any of these three months ago.

As you can see they’re not all “perfect” and I still have to modify quite a bit of them throughout the workouts, but I’m very proud of how far I’ve come. Sometimes progress means more than a measurement or a weight.
